Menopause & Perimenopause Support in Bath
Support that starts with the whole picture
Menopause can affect far more than your hormones. Together, we’ll make sense of the physical and emotional changes you’re experiencing and find a thoughtful way forward.
When you no longer feel quite like yourself
Menopause is a natural transition, but that doesn't mean you simply have to put up with feeling unlike yourself.
Changes in sleep, energy, mood, concentration, digestion and body composition can overlap and influence one another. Your experience will also be shaped by your health history, lifestyle, stress and what else is happening in your life.
I take time to understand the whole picture - not just an isolated symptom. Drawing on Functional Medicine and acupuncture, where appropriate, I’ll help you explore what may be contributing to how you feel and identify realistic ways to support your health through perimenopause, menopause and beyond.
What we might explore
Every woman’s experience of menopause is different. Depending on your symptoms, health history and priorities, we might consider:
Sleep and energy
Mood, stress and nervous system regulation
Hot flushes and temperature changes
Blood sugar and metabolic health
Digestion and gut health
Nutrition and nutrient status
Joint pain and inflammation
Confidence, resilience and overall wellbeing
What happens at your first appointment?
Your initial consultation gives us time to look at the whole picture. We’ll talk through the changes you’ve noticed, your health history, lifestyle, medication, previous investigations and what you would most like help with.
Your appointment will last around 90 minutes. You’re welcome to bring recent blood-test results, medical letters, or a list of medications and supplements. Before your appointment, I may ask you to complete a detailed health questionnaire so we can use our time well.
Together, we’ll identify the patterns and priorities that seem most relevant to you and begin to shape a realistic, personalised plan. Where appropriate, acupuncture may also be included in this first appointment.
You’ll leave with clear first steps, and we’ll decide together whether follow-up appointments, further testing or additional support would be useful. There is no fixed programme: everything is shaped around what you need.
Experienced and thoughtful support
I’m a degree-qualified acupuncturist with additional training in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine. My approach combines careful listening, clinical curiosity with practical recommendations shaped around you.
I understand that menopause rarely happens in isolation. It may conincide with demanding work, caring responsibilities, relationship changes, disrupted sleep or shifts in confidence and identity. Your wider circumstances are an important part of the picture.
Where appropriate I can work alongside your existing medical care, helping you make sense of available information and decide on realistic next steps.
